When it comes to selling your home quickly, the best place in Orange County to be is Portola Hills. According to recent sales, it takes an average of just 2.0 months to sell a home there. The average is calculated by taking all available properties for sale vs. the number that have sold in the past month. Ladera Ranch occupied the second slot, taking just 2.1 months, followed by Buena Park (2.2 months), Westminster (2.5 months) and Aliso Viejo, rounding out the top five.

The slowest selling cities were Corona Del Mar at 16.7 months, Laguna Beach at 12.4 months, Newport Beach at 10.1 months, Villa Park at 9.0 months and Newport Coast at 7.4 months. Obviously, price is a big factor with all of the bottom five boasting average selling prices over a million dollars, led by Laguna Beach at $3.6 million. For comparison, Portola Hills’ average selling price was $424,000. The average time to sell a property in all Orange County in the month of July was 3.9 months. It is generally accepted that a “seller’s market” exists when the average time to sell is two months or less.
