Hi, and thank you for visiting.

My hope in creating this blog is that I can enter into some meaningful discussions with people regarding the state of the local real estate market.  At a recent lunch with an old business associate, he made the comment “I wasn’t supposed to lose money in real estate.”  Well, pretty much anyone who bought real estate from 2003 to 2007 has seen a decline in the value of their purchase.  Maybe that’s good news (if you’re a buyer) or bad news (if you must sell) or of no concern (if you like your property and can afford to stay there).  Whatever your position, one thing is clear, people are more interested in real estate now than I can ever remember.

I take a lot of pride in studying the local market and reading as much as I can about events that affect us (I focus on South Orange County, CA).  My area of specialty, although not by design, has become short sales.  I have had a lot of success in negotiating short sales (both on behalf of the buyer and seller) and have become somewhat of an expert.
